Beyond Video: What is a World Model?
Unlike HappyHorse, which generates fixed-duration video clips based on text prompts, HappyOyster is a World Model. It predicts the physics, causality, and visual evolution of a scene in real-time, allowing users to interact with the environment as it is being generated.
Wander Mode
The "Wander" capability allows users to navigate through the AI-generated space using standard controls (WASD/Joystick). The model hallucinate the world ahead in high fidelity while maintaining temporal consistency of the world behind.
Direct Mode
In "Direct" mode, users can issue natural language commands to modify the world's state instantly. Change the weather, trigger a volcanic eruption, or instruct a character to perform a specific action without restarting the generation.

HappyOyster is built on a specialized variant of the Unified Transformer architecture used in HappyHorse. Key improvements include:
- Zero-Latency Inference: Optimized for H200 and Blackwell clusters, enabling sub-20ms frame generation for a lag-free experience.
- Physical Causal Inference: The model includes a physics prior that ensures gravity, lighting, and object collisions behave realistically.
- Persistent State: Unlike many autoregressive models, HappyOyster can remember environmental details over long durations, preventing objects from disappearing when you turn around.

Alibaba ATH has confirmed that HappyHorse and HappyOyster will share a unified API gateway. This means developers can generate a cinematic trailer with HappyHorse and then allow users to "step into" that trailer using HappyOyster.
